    Description

UNIQUE ABP American Brilliant Cut Glass OVAL Shaped ORANGE Bowl, Blazed Buzzstar
Beautiful piece of American Brilliant Period Cut Glass, in an interesting shape!
This piece is oval shaped, with a scalloped rim that is higher on the sides than in the front or back, and is somewhat "cupped" inward.
It measures approximately 8.5" long at the widest part, and is 8" long at the rim. It's 5.5" wide, and appx 4.75" tall measuring at the sides.
Beautiful combination of motifs, with the major ones being on either end - large, elaborate buzzstars, deeply cut and with the centers being about 1/4" thick. I've provided a photo (next to last photo) that shows how thick the centers of the buzzstars are.
No chips, cracks, or any other damage. I did notice a small nick on one of the buzzstar "rays" on one end. You can see it in my 3rd photo, at "2 o'clock" on the photo. You may find a tiny fleabite on the teeth on the rim, which is very typical of pieces of this age. There is normal table wear present on the bottom.
Under UV light, this displays a pale green color.
I'm listing many pieces from an extensive collection, and I'm pricing them to sell.
Most of the pieces are not identified by maker, like this one. I did not find a maker's mark on this bowl. I can say that Quaker City Glass DID produce pieces in this shape, as shown in their catalog from the early 1900s.
I'm providing a reference photo from their catalog, up above. PLEASE NOTE that the reference photo does NOT show the same pattern - I'm providing it simply to show that the SHAPE was produced by their company.
