Time-tested construction
The RL-58500 brake lathe has been a staple of ours since it was introduced 40 years ago, so we figured it was time we added the RL-8500XLT as a heavy-duty model of the same design. The XLT model retains the simplicity, speed, precision and durability you expect from Ranger. This brake lathe just might outlive you (if that isn 't scary to think about). It includes a twin-cutter tool head with micrometer dials, quick drum-to-rotor changeover, adjustable speed settings that allow for quicker rough cuts (or slower smooth cuts) and an infinitely adjustable spindle-feed gear box with a variety of speed settings. Plus, our negative rake tooling yields one-pass finish cuts every time, and the standard 1" arbor provides many tooling/adapter options. Finish-cuts are guaranteed to meet or exceed factory specifications.
Transmission-free, dual servo motors
We 've taken the initiative to go ahead and slash your maintenance costs down the road. You 're welcome! There 's no gear box on our brake lathes, nor are there variable-speed transmission devices with hundreds of moving parts that can-and do-fail with time and age. Instead of gear boxes and transmissions, this brake lathe uses maintenance-free, independent DC servo motors to control the cross feed and spindle feed drives.

Return Policy
We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. If within 60 days after you receive your shipment and you are not satisfied, you may return the item for a refund. Refunds will be processed (1-2) days after the item is received by Speedway. All returned merchandise must be in original factory condition with no modifications or alterations. A restocking fee up to 15% may be applied if items are not in new condition.
Returned merchandise must include all packaging materials, warranty cards, manuals, and accessories. If the items being returned need to be repackaged, there will be a repacking charge. Repack the item in a sturdy box, include a copy of your invoice and complete the form on the back of the invoice. You must ship orders back PREPAID. WE DO NOT ACCEPT COD SHIPMENTS.
All fiberglass items returned will be subject to a 15% restocking charge. No returns on electrical parts, DVDs, and books unless they are defective. Absolutely no returns on special order or closeout merchandise.
