The Overnight Intensive Patch prevents the formation of excessive scar tissue while reducing redness, itching and tension.
The dual mode of action regulates the scar formation process thus preventing excessive scarring and making the scar tissue softer, smoother and more elastic.
Do not use on open wounds or mucosa.
•Does Contractubex Intensive Patch make the scar disappear completely?
No, a scar is permanent and will never disappear completely. However, Contractubex Intensive Patch significantly reduces the visibility of scars. It is important to continue treatment for longer periods of time (3-6 months).
•How long should I use the Intensive Patch for?
For a period of at least 3 months and between 6 and a maximum of 12 hours each night. Please use a new Intensive Patch each day. Each Intensive Patch releases its ingredients over about 6 hours following application.
•Does Contractubex Intensive Patch work on older scars?
Yes, even scars that are over a year old can be treated with Contractubex® Intensive Patch. Some older scars dry out and become hard, in which case you should additionally use Contractubex Gel and massage the scar daily for at least 6 months. Contractubex Intensive Patch can also reduce a scar’s height and redness, and smooth the tissue so that your scar becomes less conspicuous. Combining Contractubex Intensive Patch with ultrasound therapy improves effectiveness.
•When should I use Contractubex Intensive Patches and when Contractubex Gel?
Both treatment methods are effective in treating scars. The Intensive Patch provides an additional occlusion effect, can be conveniently used overnight and is suitable for difficult-to-reach areas of the body. The gel, on the other hand, is lightly massaged into the scar tissue twice a day and is recommended for use on larger scars and scars that impinge on joints.
•How does the Contractubex Overnight Intensive Patch work?
The two-layer composition of the Contractubex Overnight Intensive Patch offers a dual mode of action that results in regulating the scarring process by preventing the format ion of excessive scars, while improving the smoothness, colour and softness of a newly formed tissue.
Occlusion effect: The soft Micro-Air-Cushion Seal is specially designed to reduce the trans-epidermal water loss of the scar tissue to ensure that a balanced, moisture-retaining atmosphere inside the affected skin area is maintained. In addition, the soft foam material protects the sensitive scar tissue.
    •Instructions for Use:
Thoroughly wash and dry the scar area. Make sure that the wound is completely close and the skin is intact.
Open the package and remove the Overnight Intensive Patch.
Peel off the transparent backing of the adhesive side of the patch.
Avoid touching the adhesive surface before application.
Apply the patch so that the scar is completely covered.
For the smaller scar, the patch may be cut to size using clean scissors. Cut before peeling off the transparent backing. The unused part must be used within 14 days.
For larger scars, apply patches side by side.
Keep the patch in place for minimum of 6 and a maximum of 12 hours overnight, when the regeneration process of the skin is particularly active.
Remove the patch in the morning and discard; patch is not reusable.
For best results, apply a new patch daily for a minimum of 3 months.
