    Description

    Collection
This is very nice handled nappy in an amber cut to clear color. Color and clarity are excellent. Pattern resembles Hawkes Saturn pattern with some slight variation. This nappy has fans between the hobstar motif and has a notched rim as opposed to a scalloped tooth. I have included a picture of the Hawkes Saturn pattern, from the ACGA Hawkes 1889 Paris Exhibition, Grand Prize re-print catalog, page 4. The picture, in the catalog, is not the clearest, but shows enough to make it look very similar to the pattern on this nappy. Maybe just enough variation to avoid patent infringement. Nappy is 5" diameter (excluding handle) x 1 3/8" high and weighs ~ 10 oz. The pattern is cut precise and sharp. The glass is of  high quality. The polishing looks nice. Much better in person and much better than my amateur photography shows ! If you have any questions or need additional pictures; please ask and I'll try to take and/ or answer if I can.
Side note: excellent affordable example of this type of cut to clear, ABP glass, regardless of who made it...

    Shipping Policy:
Shipping cut glass can be a little expensive due to it's weight and the need for double boxing. I will not compromise safely shipping an item to save a couple dollars. Some items will require direct signature receipt and insurance. I want your item to arrive in the same condition as it left. I realize my default shipping method selection of "USPS Parcel Select" may appear expensive, but I must pick something. Once you purchase; I will pack your item then ship using the most reasonable service available. Typically and except for possibly Priority Mail, FedEx is cheaper for longer distances than USPS and vice-versa. Regardless; any over-payment is always refunded. The best option is to request an estimate before purchase or wait for an invoice from me, not Ebay, after purchase; that way you will know the true cost.
There are many pieces still to go; so it will take some time. Quality of items will range from above average to outstanding. Most items will be American brilliant with some brilliant period European color as well. I will give as much "known" detail about an item as I can. This will include maker, pattern, quality, any defects and/ or damage.  Some items, being sold, were purchased as a part with the hopes of finding the others to complete an item. Others were purchased for re-sale to help defer costs. Most items will be from my personal collection. I will start the description for each lot with one of the following: Part, Re-sale or Personal Collection. This way you will know where it is coming from...
Finally, I will describe items with as much detail and accuracy as possible, but there is a small chance I may miss something minor. These items are 90+ years old and are being sold as is and not returnable. This is not a reflection on the condition or quality of any of the items for sale. My feedback is a testament to my customer service, quality of merchandise and honesty. Thanks for looking.
